Foster A Rabbit
Make a meaningful difference for at-risk shelter rabbits.
Our foster volunteers help us make space to bring in more rabbits directly from the local shelters. Often, our foster volunteers are the first to give these rabbits a loving space. We’ll match you with a rabbit who’s right for your interest and experience, and provide the supplies you need to get started. All you need to become a House Rabbit Society foster is a calm indoor home, patience, kindness, and time!

Foster Duration
Short term fostering
For a 2 week period
Long term fostering
For a 1 month period
For those with a little more experience, we are always looking for fosters for rabbits who need medication, shy rabbits who need more socialization, and behavior rabbits who may nip.
